Epilogue

During the year that followed Mishima's suicide, Yoko Mishima, the author's widow concerned herself with the defense of the remaining members of Mishima's army. The trial opened in March of 1971 at the Tokyo district court. The trial ended in April of 1972 with each of the surviving members of the incident at the base being sentenced to four years in prison.
