Le Minh Khue was born in Vietnam in 1949 in the province of Thanh Hoa, an area south of Hanoi. She is a veteran of the Vietnamese war in which she served as a war correspondent . She is the author of a collection of short stories entitled "The Stars, The Earth, The River". Her short fiction has been included in the anthology "Night Again : Contemporary fiction from Vietnam" by Linh Dinh.

She currently lives in Vietnam where she is the editor of a Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House in Hanoi.
